Daniletta (Deb) Hare (nee Hall) passed away peacefully following a short, but severe illness.

Deb was predeceased by her husband, Tom, and siblings Gar, Walt and Carol.  She leaves behind sisters, Betty (the late Wayne Cowie), Norma (the late Ed Jocko), Marilyn (Brian Frith), and daughter Lynn (the late Ray Pigott), along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Deb was an active, energetic member of the community, curling, golfing, volunteering and assisting Knox United Church at numerous functions.  She was also a longstanding member of the Georgina Lawn Bowling Association, and fulfilled many roles for them, including winning the Canadian Seniors Lawn Bowling Tournament in B.C. in 2003.

She taught herself to crochet, and once she got started, there was no stopping her.  She created countless beautiful pieces of work, and her doilies, tablecloths, baby blankets and and apparel have been, and continue to be treasured and enjoyed by many.

She was a volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society, and transported many grateful patients to Sunnybrook Hospital for treatment.

Other activities included get-togethers for euchre, with the added bonus of lunch or dinner, and she was a boisterous and enthusiastic participant in many raucous Bunco games.  Her keen sense of humour and her pranks were a source of joy to many, and they reciprocated in kind.

Deb and Tom enjoyed many happy times at their trailer at Camp Hillbilly, and often went to dinner in Baysville for the buffet at the "best place by a dam site".

Deb will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, but many good memories of happy times will be a comfort, as well as her enduring legacy.

Heartfelt thanks to those who helped and supported Deb through her decline after the onset of Alzheimer's, and a special thank you and much appreciation is extended to the caring, efficient, and attentive staff of Lakeview Manor, Beaverton.  They made a difficult and unsettling journey more bearable, and their empathy and support exceeded all expectations.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully received by Knox United Church, Sutton, and used for their community outreach and support, or if you wish to support a charity of your choice, it too, will be much appreciated.
