Deborah "Debbie" Wight

Deborah "Debbie" Wight, born on June 19, 1961, passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia, Ontario on May 8, 2025. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, sociable nature, and ability to touch the lives of those around her.

Debbie had a deep love for her previous home on Dalton Road in Sutton, Ontario, where she cherished the company of friends and family. Known for her gregarious personality, she thrived in social gatherings, often engaging in lively conversations and sharing a piece of gossip that brought smiles to many faces. Debbie was candid and spoke her mind, traits that endeared her to friends and family alike.

An avid lover of crafts, Debbie showcased her creativity through many projects that not only brought her joy but also brightened the lives of others. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and camping, embracing the beauty of nature and making memories with those she held dear.

Debbie is survived by her devoted partner, Gary Smallwood, and her children, Troy (and Mandie) and Chris (and Crystal). She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Selina, Hannah, Lucas, and Luke, who brought her immense joy and happiness. She is also mourned by her mother, Beatrice Grimes, her father, Ronald Grimes, her brothers Roy and Ronnie, and her sister, Wendy.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Debbie's life during visitation services at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, located at 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, ON, on May 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Debbie Wight’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments that will be forever etched in the minds of her family and friends.
