It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Robert Gardiner, who passed away peacefully at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the age of 82.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Anne Gardiner; his brothers, John and David; and his beloved son, Michael.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Susan Gardiner (née Garrett); his brothers, Peter (Annie) of Poole, UK and Richard (Diana) of Niagara-on-the-Lake; and his children, Rob (Melissa) of Beaverton, Simon of Keswick, Peter (Natashia) of Jackson Point, and Sarah (Paul) of Orléans.

Donald was a proud and devoted grandfather to Alex (Kylie), Michael (Alex), Brayden (Amy), Chloe, Noah (Breyan), Claire (Ash), Jackson and Koen, and a cherished great-grandfather to Ryley and Charlie.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be held close in the hearts of his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the Gardiner family kindly requests that donations be made to Margaret Bahen Hospice. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff for their compassionate care and support.
