Donald Joseph Lambert, affectionately known as Don, was born on April 14, 1957, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He passed away peacefully at the Margaret Bahen Hospice on December 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.
Don dedicated thirty years of his life to serving as a School Custodian, a role in which he demonstrated not only his strong work ethic but also his caring nature and commitment to fostering a positive environment for students and staff alike. Known for his thoughtful demeanor and giving spirit, he made it his mission to pay it forward, ensuring that those around him felt valued and cared for.
Outside of work, Don had a zest for life that shone through his many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed karaoke and dancing, finding joy in music and movement. He was a fan of cop shows and action movies, often immersing himself in adventures from the comfort of his living room. He loved swimming and had an undeniable passion for traveling. Every journey was an exploration filled with discovery and joy, and perhaps his beloved dog Mattie was his most faithful companion on many such adventures.
Don is lovingly remembered by his family, including his brothers Marcel, Eugene, Richard, Ronald (Jennifer), and sister Lilly. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces who cherished their time spent with him.
He joins in eternal rest several family members who predeceased him, including brothers Henry, Louie, Emile, Maurice, Phillip and Floyd as well as sisters Jean and Alice. He also reunites with his nephews Allan, Raymond, Joseph, Sandy, and Chris, along with his niece Tammy.
