Ethel Maude Cope

Passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, just shy of her 86th birthday, which she was looking forward to celebrating with her two children, Donna Ann Cope and Peter Douglas Cope, on April 4. Ethel is predeceased by her husband Peter Stanford Cope, both of Toronto, Ontario. Ethel was a bookkeeper by training and a skilled gardener, receiving a Life Member Award from the Ontario Horticultural Society in 2007. She loved to bird watch and she crocheted bedspreads for every new family member. Friends and family will miss her sense of humour and her big laugh. As per Ethel's wishes there will be no funeral service or memorial. If desired, donations in memory of Ethel can be made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Association.
