After 83 years of love, laughter, and fierce devotion, our mother, Gail Diane Beelik, has gently left this world. She left behind a legacy stitched together by the lives she nurtured and the hearts she warmed. Gail died peacefully at Southlake Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 14th 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Scarborough, Ontario, predeceased by her parents Ruby and James Duncan. Beloved wife of Nicholas Kenneth Beelik for 38 wonderful years up until his untimely death on December 14th, 1999.
Loving mother of Don, Chris (Shannon), John (Tracey), and Shawn (Wendy). Dear sister to late James Duncan. Devoted Aunt to Gary and Larry Beelik as well as Adam and Chantel Duncan. Cherished grandmother to Jordyn, Jakob, Nicholas, Kendra, Emily and Natalie. Dearest friend to Bubs Green and many others.
Gail will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She spent much of her life caring for others, both within and beyond her family. Her sweet nature and gentle soul made her a beloved friend and caregiver to many. A lover of sports and an active spirit, she found joy in both playing and supporting those around her. Whether on the sidelines or in everyday life, she showed up for others with warmth and generosity. Gail’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and hard work, and her memory will be treasured by all.
Special thanks and much gratitude to the staff of River Glen Haven Nursing Home who provided outstanding care and support. The family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Southlake General Hospital for their compassion and exceptional attention to Gail and her family during this difficult time.
