It is with the heaviest of hearts and the utmost love that we share the passing of Gail Patricia Sheridan (nee Cook) on Monday November 17, 2025 at the age of 76. Peacefully at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket surrounded by her husband, loving girls, and lifelong friend after a short battle with cancer. Gail is predeceased by her parents William and Dorothy Cook. Leaving behind her sisters, Patricia (Gordon) Mcmeekin and Lynette (Jim) Rickerby. Her husband of 44 years, George Sheridan. Cherished Mother of Kelly (Paul) Milroy, Stephanie Milroy, Jenna (Andrew) Bridge, and Darryl (Michelle) Sheridan. Loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother of Kyle, Marissa, Dylan, Mikaela, Emma, Abby, Benjamin, Aubrey, Breanna, Mila, and Mack. Best and lifelong friend of Betty (Doug) Guttormson.

To know her was to love her. Gail radiated beauty from the inside out and lead life with kindness in the purest form. Her home was our haven, her kitchen was often filled with the scent of fresh baked cookies, her dining room was always set for every occasion and the abundance of love that was felt between those four walls will forever be etched in our hearts. She taught us that love was unconditional and not only a language spoken but shown in every encounter. How lucky we were to be loved by her.

Gail found immense joy in the simple things in life. flowers, Vegas, her bus trips with the Busy Bees, her love of baking, and of course, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of quiet strength; she had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and was a constant source of support. Always putting everyone before herself. The heart and soul of her family.

Her legacy is one that will live on in all that knew her. It is hard to forget someone who gave us all so much to remember. She was loved and will be missed every minute of every day.

Friends and family will be invited to join us for a Celebration of Life at a date to be determined.

In Lieu of flowers, the family offers the option of donating in Gail's honour to the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario.
