In Loving Memory of James Ellsworth Taylor
James Ellsworth Taylor passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the age of 69. He faced his battle with lung cancer with courage and strength.
Jim was the beloved son of the late Charles and Blanche Taylor (nee Morton) and predeceased by his big brother Steve.
Jim is survived by his treasured wife and best friend Mandie. Loving brother to Janice (Wayne). Devoted father of Chuck and father-in-law of Michelle. Dear stepfather of Benjamin (Breyden). Cherished grandfather to Chase, Sadie, Riley, and Brantley. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Mandy (Brett), Steven, April, and Brent.
Jim will be remembered for his load back personality, his wealth of knowledge, and his great sense of humour. A true free spirit, he had a deep love of animals, especially his beloved dogs Joe and Jay, along with his parrot Poko and his cat Alley.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Nurse practitioner Tiffany Leanord of the Georgina Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, as well as Dr. Kassam and the staff at the Southlake Cancer Centre for their exceptional care and compassion.
In Jim’s memory, donations may be made to the Georgina Island Youth Mental Health/Recreation Initiative or the Georgina Feral Cat Committee.
Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
