At his home on Georgina Island, on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the age of 79 years. Jim Winter, beloved husband of the late Doreen Winter (nee Porte). Loving father of Thomas (Farmer) L. Porte and his wife Freda, Dianne Trumble and her husband Byron, Shianne Oakley and her husband Marty Olhiser and Erna Crittenden and her husband Sandy C. Benson. Loving remembered by his 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Sam and Ruth (nee Child) Winter. Dear brother of Barbara Diring of Arizona, Joyce Kreschuk of British Columbia and Bruce Winter and his wife Tracy of Waterford, ON. Brother in law of Leonard Porte and his wife Sheila, Thomas Porte and his wife Patricia and Glenda Godin and her husband Andre.
