Margaret Anne Roach

March 11, 1930 — August 20, 2025

Once a very, very long time ago, nature blew a tiny little seed across the east part of Canada until it landed in the wonderful prairies of Canada. This seed took root and continued to grow and flourish. It turned into a beautiful talented, loving individual who lived a remarkable life.

Margaret Anne Roach (born Margaret Anne Rumball) died August 20, 2025, in Southlake Hospital at age 95. A child of the Depression, she often recounted sneaking to the top of the stairs at night to watch her father, a country doctor, operate on people on the kitchen table, in return for chickens and vegetables. In the course of her life she was a College Valedictorian, delivered flowers to Buckingham Palace on behalf of Saskatchewan, worked as a medical technician, became a mother to four more seeds, was a pillar of her adopted town of Sutton West where she was a founding member of the Sutton “Kinette” club , sailed, traveled around the world more than once, painted, made stained glass, gardened with a fierce passion, and became a cherished friend to more people than can be counted. She touched more lives than we will ever know with her quiet generosity and emotional support. She loved people and was the life of the party to the end.

It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to Mom.

Remembered with much love by: (children) Ian Morrison, Janet Morrison (Darwin), Mark Morrison (Michele), and Paul Morrison (Monica); (grandchildren) Paul Dickenson, Adam Brandenburg, Michaela Morrison, Connor Morrison, and Sean Morrison; and (great grandchildren) Brittney Davis and Avery Davis.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret's name to Covenant House Toronto.
