Mary Ruth Charpentier, born Mary Ruth Doyle on December 29, 1940, in Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026. She lived a life full of warmth, caring, and love, touching many with her kind heart and gentle spirit.
Mary was known for her loving nature and the warmth she shared with everyone around her. One of her fondest memories was the time she spent with family at Wasaga Beach, a place that brought her much joy and peace.
She is remembered tenderly by her daughters Anne (Mike) Higgins and Janet (Ron) Burling. Mary’s love also lives on through her grandchildren, Melina and Kevin. She is survived by her sisters Patricia (Don) Horan and Fran McPherson, who carry her memory close to their hearts.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Delores Doyle. and her brothers Ron, and Doug, and sister Elaine.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mary’s life with a visitation at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home located at 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Ontario, on May 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be held on May 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 28118 Hwy 48, Georgina, Ontario with interment to follow at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church Cemetery. Following the Mass and interment, a gathering will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 356, 21 East Street, Georgina, Ontario, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Mary Ruth Charpentier’s life was marked by her deep care for her family and her ability to make those around her feel loved and valued. Her presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
