Myrtle Mate

Passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. Predeceased by her beloved husband Max of 65 years. Loving mother of Bill Price (Shirley), Ron Price (Deceased). Dearest grandmother of Debra Iacino (Frank), and Diana Marin (Joe). Great-grandmother to Sarah, Noah, and Billy. Myrtle will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Myrtle was born in Bay de Verde, Newfoundland on July 14, 1927, Myrtle moved to Ontario in 1950. She dedicated 30 years of service to the Ministry of Transportation, Drive Control, before retiring in 1986. That same year, she and Max moved to Georgina, where they became active and devoted members of St. James Anglican Church.

Funeral Services will be held at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home in Sutton, Ontario, on August 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. Visitation from 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Briar Hill Cemetery.
