Phillip George Beaty, affectionately known as “RottmasterB”, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Lindsay, Ontario, at the age of 65.
Born on April 11, 1960, in Newmarket, Ontario, Phillip was a quiet soul with a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand to family and friends.
Gifted with mechanical skill and creativity, Phillip could often be found working on projects—whether it was his beloved 1979 Chevy Blazer or artistic pursuits in his younger years. His love for animals, especially Rottweilers and horses, reflected his gentle nature.
Phillip was also a talented cook, known for his barbecuing, baking, and pickling vegetables from his garden. Above all, he delighted in gathering loved ones together for his legendary “pit turkey,” slow-cooked over a bonfire and shared in celebration.
He is survived by his daughter, Krystal; his brother Ian; and his sisters Jaqueline, Robyn, and Allison. Phillip was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews: Angela (Jody), Sydney, Justyne (Adam), Alex (Aaron), Courtney (Cliff), Andrew (Jess), Cyle (Farheen), Jaymie (Kyle), Wesley (Danielle), Rachael (Adam), Jake, Sarah (Cody), Cameron, and Sean. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and close friends, including Kathie, Shawn, Norma, Stan, and Bill.
Phillip was predeceased by his parents, James and Joyce; his brothers David and Neil; his sister Irene; his brother in-law Laurie; and his niece Cheryl.
Phillip will be remembered for his creativity, his talents, and the joy he found in bringing people together. His kindness and spirited nature leave behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
