Robert "Bob" William Hurst

Robert William Hurst, lovingly known as Bob, was born on July 20, 1955, and he passed away on December 7, 2025, at Southlake Health in Newmarket. He faced his final days with courage after battling cancer.

Bob was known for his laid-back personality, great sense of humor, and free spirit. He had a profound love for dogs, especially Benson who had been his constant companion, and motorcycles, which brought him immense joy throughout his life. His long hair was a reflection of his individual style and carefree nature. He was well known for his collections of just about everything. 

Bob is survived by his beloved siblings, Jim (Ann) and Nancy (Gord). He was also cherished by his nephews, Jim (Michelle), Tom, and Gordon (Veronica), along with his niece, Cindy (Adam), and many great nephews and nieces who will remember him fondly. He will also be missed by many friends and family whose memories of Bob will always bring a smile to their faces. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom, and his parents, Jim and Pearl.

A service for Bob will be held at Briar Hill Cemetery in Georgina, Ontario, on May 2, 2026. The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Bob touched the hearts of many with his easygoing nature and zest for life. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
