Sheila Rye

Sheila Rye, born Sheila Sweek on May 31, 1938, in London, England, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026. She died surrounded by her children, a gentle end to a life filled with love and family.

Sheila was known for her fun loving and lighthearted nature. She enjoyed bringing joy to those around her and always made family the center of her world. Her caring spirit touched many lives, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sheila is survived by her devoted children: James (Justine) Young, Robert (Angela) Young, Isabel (James) Young, and David (Erinn) Young. She also leaves behind her grandchildren , great-grandchildren, and her brother, Stewart, who shared in many memories with her throughout their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and Gordon Sweek,  and her son Stewart. Though these loved ones have passed before her, they remain forever in the hearts of her family.

Sheila's life was one of warmth, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family. Those fortunate enough to know her will remember her light and kindness for years to come.
